Basel – Training Week-End with Acro Bart (NL)

Acro Bart (NL) is coming to Basel! Join us for an intensive training weekend with a fun group of acrobats and acro yogis to train Dutch Style Partner Acrobatics.
The two morning sessions will focus on technique (alignment, movement,‘core skills’) and training methods, two afternoon sessions on more advanced shapes and transitions and new acrobatic tricks, always supported by spotters. On Friday and Saturday evening there are two free training sessions with time for individual training and coaching by Bart.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to expand your practice in a safe and supportive community and leave with a deeper understanding of acrobatics, as well as some cool new tricks!

SKILL LEVEL
This workshop is for anyone with an active acrobatic practice (>1 year). This workshop is not suitable for beginners. Asa multi-level event, students will receive catered instruction to their skill level, whenever possible. You can attend alone or with your dedicatedtraining partner. Upon registration let us know if you’re preferred role is base or flyer (or both).
Prerequisites: Hold handstand against the wall for 30”, fly or base shoulderstand (SS), free star (SS on feet, 20”), reverse star (rev. SS on feet), foot-to-hand on extended arms (15”), tuck-sit (15”), being comfortable in two men high and standing front bird, some experience with handstand (training) and maybe hand-to-hand on a lying base. BIO ACRO BART (NL)
With acrobats for parents, Bart has done acrobatics for as long as he can remember. He began training under professional acrobatics trainers when he was 16. He has performed in various shows in the Netherlands, Germany, France, and more.
He holds regular acrobatic classes in his home town, teaches at acrobatic conventions and festivals, and gives workshops across Europe, the US, Israel, and Russia. He also organizes acrobatics conventions such as the well-known Acrobatic New Year Convention in the Netherlands.
Besides, he holds a Masters in molecular life sciences and worked in a hospital, but his heart was always with acrobatics. His teaching ethos is that everyone should have fun. He finds it equally important to recognize what works in a trick, as well as pointing out what could use a little ‘improvement’.
